Your Role:
If you are able to move fast and are passionate about numbers and love real estate, this job may be for you! We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller who can take on our bookkeeping and reconciliation work and also be responsible for managing our construction draw management process. Your days will include some bookkeeping for our entities, which include a mortgage lending company, a fund, a special purpose entity with mortgage collateral, as well as overseeing and controlling our construction reimbursement processes. You will be responsible for reporting, as well as interfacing with external partners, such as auditors and tax accountants.

Responsibilities:
- Close monthly books for company’s multiple entities
- Responsible for construction draw management on a daily basis
- Create and maintain forecasts and financial reports
- Review and reconcile various financial components
- GAAP best practices
- Work with outside CPA firms and auditors
- Help with vendor negotiations to decrease costs where needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years in accounting,
- Strong understanding of real estate construction, experience working for a lender or an asset manager required
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel
- GAAP knowledge
- Ability to work independently
